Just in passing about Clinton on the Fox Sunday morning interview: did he really think that no one would bother to fact check?
And speaking of the 9-11 "I don't believe it but shouldn't we check out this [fill it the blank with an insane theory] idea," well, shouldn't we also have an investigation to see if maybe the Jews did stab Germany in the back? Or if Leopold & Loeb were framed by someone? Or if Johnson really had the FBI doing wiretaps and bugs on the Goldwater and Nixon campaigns? Oops...

Three inneresting items:
First, from apnews.myway.com : "Previous witnesses said the remains of relatives who went missing during Operation Anfal were found in mass graves several years later. Some recalled how they survived chemical attacks allegedly carried out by Saddam's regime against the Kurdish population." Alledgedly...
Second, from the Examiner (main office in Colorado), it sounds like Sen. Arsenio Hall Kerry is thinking of another run for the White House: "They had money behind the lies, and we did not have sufficient money behind the truth,” Kerry laments. (My recollection is that he and the MSM tried to ignore the Swift Boat Vets.) Asked if he dreads the prospect of being “Swift-Boated” all over again, Kerry counters that he would relish such a fight. “I’m prepared to kick their ass from one end of America to the other,” he declares. “I am so confident of my abilities to address that and to demolish it and to even turn it into a positive.”
Third, from the Lawrence Journal-World: "Former Vice President Al Gore said Monday that he has no plans to run for president in 2008 but hasn’t ruled out a future in politics." Date? Tuesday, March 21, 2006. And last weekend? "Al Gore said Sunday he hadn't rule out making a second bid for the White House, though he said it was unlikely."
And who said six months ago that it would be Gore & Hillary or Kerry & Hillary..? Heh. Indeed not.

Here's a headline on Yahoo News today:
Dozens of Taliban killed in AfghanistanAnd here's the line that I suspect you never see in the stories about Israeli missiles hitting Lebanese Red Cross ambulances:
It wasn't possible for reporters to reach the site of the battle to independently confirm the death toll.Which I guess means that sometimes you just have to give someone the benefit of the doubt - but it would be nice if our side got it sometimes.

It appears that the polotical theme of the moment is becoming "The Republicans are in trouble as we approach the midterm Congressionsal elections." The proper interpretation of this is based on what has become the standard lib-left response to elections: "heads, we win; tails, the exit polls said we were going to win, so the election must have been stolen!' The lefties are already setting themselves up for another round of "We Wuz Robbed!" This will be especially true in anyplace where polls put a Dem several points up just before the election but the Repub wins by a point or two.
Oh, well - I guess there is some guilty pleasure in watching members of the other side as they kick and scream and foam at the mouth.
